A strong Legend in season 21 offers advantages like faster movement, better damage output, and more effective abilities. Who Are the Worst Legends in Apex Legends?
We’re not here to discuss which Legend will boost you up in ranks just by picking them, but we’re here to point out the ones you maybe shouldn’t pick, as their current state isn’t the best and could negatively affect your wins.
Mirage
Mirage can be a lot of fun to play, but fun doesn’t always equate to win. His abilities revolve around creating decoys to distract enemies. While this sounds great in theory, experienced players can easily spot the fakes, rendering his ultimate ability less impactful.
Mirage needs numbers buffs, as his kit is set in stone around mind games.
Revenant
Revenant’s concept is fantastic. He can silence enemies and even cheat death with his ultimate. However, his abilities often fall short in actual gameplay. His silencing ability has a limited range, and his ultimate can leave teammates exposed and vulnerable if not used perfectly.
Sadly, Revenant benefits more from OTP (One trick pony) playstyle, as you need to know the ins and outs of him, and push those to the absolute limit so you can perform, which makes him a pick not for the meta chasers.
Rampart
Rampart is all about defense, setting up barriers and turrets to fend off enemies. While this can be useful in certain scenarios, Apex Legends is a game of mobility and quick decisions. Being stationary too long can make you an easy target, and Rampart’s kit just doesn’t offer the flexibility needed for most situations.
The biggest weakness isn’t Rampart’s lack of movement, but instead it’s the mobility creep that has appeared in the game as of late, making him a big target practice for enemies.
Wattson
Wattson excels at fortifying positions, but her lack of offensive capabilities makes her a liability in many scenarios. Her fences can be easily bypassed by experienced players, and her ultimate, while useful for blocking grenades, doesn’t provide enough utility to outweigh her weaknesses in combat.
Is Crypto the Worst Legend in Apex Legends?
Crypto specializes in surveillance. His drone can scout ahead and detect enemies, which sounds invaluable. However, using the drone effectively requires you to be stationary, making you vulnerable in the fast-paced action. Additionally, his abilities don’t directly contribute to combat, which can leave you at a disadvantage in firefights.
Crypto’s drone has limited practical use in many firefights. It can be shot down easily, leaving him without his main tool. His ultimate ability, an EMP blast, can be useful but requires perfect timing and positioning, which can be hard to achieve consistently.
He also can be a situational asset if your team knows how to capitalize on his intelligence-gathering abilities. However, in a game where combat skills often make the difference, relying on Crypto can feel like a gamble. More often than not, you might find that other Legends offer more consistent advantages.
