Leaked Buffs Incoming for Rampart, Maggie, Bangalore & More – Plus a Potential Global LMG Change ⇒ ALegends

We’ve got new Apex Legends Leaks, and they’re teasing a batch of work-in-progress buffs and ability upgrades that could dramatically shift how some underused legends play — especially Rampart, Mad Maggie, and Bangalore. There are also early signs of a massive LMG rework, a mysterious “compass perk”, and even Newcastle getting some love.

As always, none of this is final yet, but if these leaks come true, we’re looking at some real shakeups in future metas.

Here’s everything leaked so far.

🔥 Mad Maggie – Wrecking Ball Gets More Aggressive

Mad Maggie mains, your ult is getting the upgrade it’s always needed. According to the leaks:

Wrecking Ball travel distance is being increased
Two extra speed boost mines will be deployed
The ball will now ping enemies it passes, marking them briefly

This would finally turn her ult into more than just a speed boost tool — giving it Recon power, more disruption, and longer reach for aggressive pushes. There’s no ETA, but it’s reportedly in active testing.

🧭 New Recon “Compass Perk” – Track Enemies at a Distance

There’s also mention of a “Compass Perk” tied to either a new legend or a future perk system. It would create a virtual compass that points toward enemies within 150–300 meters.

This would offer soft tracking without scan spam, giving Players directional awareness without wallhacks. It’s unclear who it belongs to yet — could be tied to recon class, a new legend, or even an upgrade tree.

🌫️ Bangalore – Smoke HealPassive Buff

Another low-key but powerful buff is heading to Bangalore:

Her HP regen while inside smoke is getting increased
Old value: 3.5 HP per second → New value: 5 HP per second

This would improve Bangalore’s self-sustain during resets, and make her even more slippery in duels — especially with Digital Threats or when comboing with her double time speed boost.

🧱 Rampart – Repair Walls!

Rampart’s finally getting a supportive buff that makes total sense:

She’ll be able to repair her damaged Amped Cover walls
Range is limited to walls within 3–4 meters

This adds a layer of utility and lets Rampart anchor positions longer without having to wait for full replacements. It’s a simple but high-impact tweak that could push her further into the zone Control meta.

🛡️ Newcastle – Possible Revive Shield Buff

While specifics are still missing, one line of code suggests that Newcastle’s revive shield may be getting an upgrade in the future. This could mean more HP, faster deploy time, or extra interactions — no hard data yet, but it’s in testing.

💥 LMG Global Buff – Damage Reduction for Carriers?

Now for something big: Respawn is apparently testing a damage resistance buff when carrying LMGs.

Here’s how it would work:

Non-Fortified legends: Take 15% less damage while holding an LMG
Fortified legends (Gibby, Newcastle, Caustic): Take 5% less damage, since they already have damage resistance

This would affect:

Rampage
Devotion
Spitfire
L-STAR
Rampart’s Turret

If implemented, this could reintroduce LMGs as high-risk, high-reward anchor weapons, encouraging slower but stronger positional play. Could also synergize with the above Rampart buff for even more impact.

🧪 Bonus Leak: Healing Could Be Disabled by Silence?

One small but spicy code leak mentioned that silence effects might disable healing in the future. Whether that’s for Revenant, a new legend, or just a status debuff, it’s unclear — but if true, it could shift how teams use meds during engagements.
