Wattson Prestige Skin Arrives June 24

Wattson’s Mythic Prestige Skin is finally launching on June 24, 2025. This skin will be sold as part of a milestone event, which means Players will unlock it by completing challenges or progressing through tiers. This marks a huge moment for Wattson mains who’ve been waiting for a Mythic skin since her debut.

Alongside the release, Wattson is also receiving powerful buffs including faster ultimate charge, better tactical uptime, and new perk enhancements.

Map Rotation for Split 2

The ranked map rotation for Split 2 includes a mix of classic and competitive favorites:

Kings Canyon
World’s Edge
Broken Moon

This three-map rotation should provide a healthy mix of pacing and playstyles for ranked players.

Gold Weapons for Split 2

The following weapons will be available as fully kitted gold weapons for this split:

Spitfire
R-301
R-99
Flatline
Akimbo Mozambiques

Each of these has a strong place in the current meta, with the R-301 and Flatline especially dominant in ranked and competitive play.

Arc Star Buff

Arc Stars are receiving notable buffs:

Explosion now reduces momentum if the target is hit while in-air or sliding
Explosion now consumes the cooldown of Ash’s dash and Sparrow’s double jump

These changes add anew level of utility to Arc Stars, especially when countering high-mobility legends.

Accelerator Hop-Up Update

The Accelerator hop-up is seeing a major shift:

Removed from: Devotion, Mastiff, Bocek, Sentinel
Added to: Havoc, Flatline, Mozambique

This changes the loadout viability for several popular weapons, especially the Flatline which is now even stronger.

30-30 Repeater Nerf

Skullpiercer headshot damage has been reduced:

Uncharged: 80 (was 86)
Charged: 120 (was 130)

This lowers the overall burst potential of the 30-30 Repeater and helps reduce its dominance in mid-range fights.

R-301 Gun Shield Hop-Up

In a surprising twist, the R-301 can now equip the Gun Shield hop-up. This change gives the weapon an even greater edge in head-to-head trades, especially when combined with precise aim and positioning.

Battle Pass Gifting Returns

battle pass gifting is officially returning in Split 2. Players will once again be able to gift the battle pass to friends directly—just like in previous seasons. A welcome feature for the Apex community.

Ballistic Balance Changes

Ballistic is receiving some nerfs and perk adjustments:

Whistler tactical damage on activation reduced from 20 to 15
Extra Bullets moved to Level 2
Lasting Bullet moved to Level 3

These changes aim to reduce his dominance while maintaining his role as a strong team-fighter.

Ash Balance Changes

Ash is getting some tuning across the board:

Passive dash cooldown reduced to 8s (from 10s)
Tether becomes weaker when enemies are moving erratically
New HP regen perk on knock added
Ghost in the Machine perk removed

These adjustments keep her dangerous but slightly more manageable in coordinated fights.

Vantage Buff

Vantage is receiving a comprehensive buff:

Smaller upper body hitbox
Echo tactical is faster, longer range, and now includes wider FOV
Sniper’s Mark ultimate now has hidden laser, faster reload, more shots
Various perks improve utility and sniper effectiveness

These changes elevate Vantage as a stronger mid- to long-range specialist.

Wattson Buffs

In addition to her Prestige Skin, Wattson is getting a serious performance overhaul:

50% faster ultimate charge
Shield regen improved
Fence cooldown lowered to 4s
Tactical now interrupts Ash/Sparrow movement abilities
Perks provide enhanced healing, support access, and double healing power

This makes Wattson a real threat in both Control and Support roles.

Season 25 Split 2 is delivering a significant patch filled with quality-of-life improvements, reworks, buffs, and fresh content. With a map rotation designed to challenge different playstyles, and balance changes across the board, Apex Legends is heading into a strong second half of the season.
