Apex Legends just dropped a new patch across all platforms, addressing a few key issues and teasing some exciting upcoming content. While this update doesn’t fix every problem currently affecting the game, it does provide relief for some of the more frustrating crashes Players have encountered recently.

Patch Fixes Two Major Crash Issues

Respawn confirmed on X that they pushed out a patch to address two major crash bugs that surfaced following the launch of Prodigy. These are the two fixes now live:

  • A crash triggered when using Sparrow’s ultimate
  • A crash caused by looting death boxes

Both of these bugs had been widely reported, and players should now experience fewer disruptions related to these two problems.

One Big Crash Still Unfixed and Abused

Unfortunately, one persistent crash is still in the game. If an enemy player quits during a finisher animation, it can still cause the game to crash. Worse, this bug is being exploited by some players to intentionally force disconnects and ruin fights. Respawn is aware of the issue but has not patched it yet.

New Split 2 Reactive Skin Variant Leaked

A new variant of the Split 2 reactive weapon skin has been leaked. This version features a green andgold color scheme and is expected to roll out soon. No official preview has been shared yet, but the community is already buzzing about the design.

EA Expects 40 Percent Drop in Apex Revenue

EA has projected a 40 percent revenue decline from Apex Legends this year. This comes as a surprise given the game’s large player base and frequent content drops. While this may impact development priorities, it could also explain the recent focus on monetization systems and new experimental formats.

Crafting Metals Might Become More Useful

In response to ongoing community feedback, a developer has stated that the team is exploring additional ways to use crafting metals. Players have long requested more value from their excess materials, so it is good to hear that something is being planned.

Mirage Model Updated Slightly

Mirage appears to have received a subtle texture update to his default model. The changes are minor and barely noticeable, but if you think Mirage is looking a little sharper in your matches, that’s why.

More changes and updates are expected soon as the second half of Season 25 unfolds. Stay locked in for further announcements and map rotations.
