Thanks to a leak from @HYPERMYSTx, we now have a breakdown of the revamped ranked experience — and it includes smarter resets, performance-based starting positions, and new ladders for Players to grind.
Here’s everything we know so far.
🔄 Smarter Ranked Resets
Season 25 will introduce a refined reset system that better reflects player skill.
No more full-blown rank wipes for everyone. Instead, resets will be scaled and influenced by your hidden MMR, allowing better matchmaking from the start.
This should cut down on early season chaos, where top-tier players are stomping low ranks.
📊 Skill-Based Starting Rank
Rather than everyone dropping into Bronze after a reset, your startingrank will now be based on your past hidden skill level.
❌ No More Forced Bronze for Inactive Players
Previously, even high-ranked but inactive players would reset all the way down to Bronze. That is no longer the case.
Now, if you’re an experienced player who skips a split, your return won’t automatically drop you to the bottom of the ladder.
🧗♂️ Ranked Challenges and Ladders
Season 25 introduces two new systems:
- Ranked Challenges: Earn progress and rewards through challenge completion during ranked matches.
- Ranked Ladder: Compete on a separate leaderboard tied to exclusive cosmetics and placement-based rewards.
These systems are designed to reward consistent performance, not just grind, and finally give high-tier players more prestige incentives to chase.
